What this site collects
Almost nothing, and nothing that identifies you.
No cookies, no tracking
This site sets no cookies, loads no fonts or scripts from third parties, and runs no advertising or social media trackers. There is nothing to consent to, which is why you are not being shown a banner.
Your choice of light or dark theme is stored in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and I cannot read it.
Visitor statistics
Aggregate page counts are collected without cookies and without storing personal data or IP addresses. No individual visitor can be identified or followed between pages or visits.
Hosting
The site is served by GitHub Pages, which processes the IP address of each request in order to deliver the page and to protect against abuse. That processing is GitHub's, under their own privacy statement, and I have no access to those logs.
If you email me
I keep your message so I can reply to it, and for as long as the conversation is relevant. I do not add correspondents to any mailing list and there is no mailing list to add anyone to.
Images of people
Photographs of lab members are published only with their written consent, and removed on request without needing a reason.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may ask what personal data I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet). In practice the only personal data I am likely to hold is an email you sent me.
